about
Tracy is rooted in the Pacific Northwest but carries a deep love for all things Nordic. Born and raised in the Seattle area, her first visit to Sweden in 1995 sparked a passion that has since driven her to prioritize every chance to return. Scandinavian culture naturally influences her lifestyle and is woven into her design career.
After graduating with a BA in Interior Design from Seattle Pacific University, Tracy spent several years working at a large commercial architecture firm. In 1999, she took a leave of absence to study interior architecture at Denmark International Studies in Copenhagen. This was a pivotal moment in her career. Upon returning to Seattle, she set her sights to make a transition to work in a small residential firm, setting the intention to be involved in the full architectural process, with the longterm goal of becoming a licensed architect. In the shorter term she focused on completing the National Certification of Interior Design (NCIDQ) and the Leadership in Energy and Environmentat Design (LEED) exams, both important in her career focus and development.

In 2014 Tracy achieved the goal of becoming a Washington State registered Architect. Tracy’s integrated proficiency in architecture, interior design, and sustainable design allows her to approach projects with a comprehensive perspective. This combination ensures her work is thoughtful in concept, respectful of both the environment and the client's needs, and well-rounded in its attention to detail. By blending these disciplines, she creates spaces that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional, sustainable, and deeply aligned with the surrounding environment and the well-being of those who inhabit them.

Sketching, photography and writing have been important creative outlets for Tracy throughout the years. These focuses have shaped and influenced her insights, knowledge, craft, and abilities as a designer.
