grandmas
Scenes of my grandma and grandpa nutter in their early 20s, surrounded by their siblings and friends. Most of the photos were taken around Seattle in the late 1920's, with snapshots from local trips to port orchard, camano, and snoqualmie pass. I vividly remember sitting with my grandma (ruth), then in her 80s, as she flipped through her photo album, sharing stories from those days. As we reached the last page, it felt like a time warp—those photos transporting her back to her youth. We were both aware of the jolting wake up to present day as her aged body struggled to rise from the rocking chair.
The first 2 photos are of my dad's mom, belvedere who passed away before I was born.
